The first edition of the Qtaby Events “Cruise & Chillz” party featured the launch of Mockingbird Records Label by Adey Ogunlesi. The maiden edition of boat party which took place on Sunday 22nd May at Prest Jetty has kick-started a string of quarterly events that will feature various brands.
The talent management, Events production and PR company with international affiliates and partnerships in South Africa, Ghana, Republic of Benin, Ivory Coast, Senegal, United Kingdom went all out for its first edition of “Cruise & Chillz” by inviting South African belle, Samantha Jansen from Big Brother Africa, who is also visiting Nigeria for the first time, to co-host with Denrele Edun. The creation of the event is targeted at creating a fun atmosphere for networking and relaxation for music lovers.
The CEO, Mockingbird Records Adegboyega “Adey” Ogunlesi, son of Mrs Adenike Ogunlesi, the superwoman behind ‘Ruff n Tumbles’ started his career as a singer and producer at the age of 21 and has worked with the likes of Tiwa Savage, Boj, Saucekid, Lynxxx, Dotstar, Sarkodie, Flowssickk, XO Sanevoe, Dammy Krane and more.
With over six years’ experience in the industry, the producer decided to set up a record label which will focus on creating, developing and establishing the wealth of artistic talent all over Africa.
The CEO also officially unveiled his new artist, Spotless, born Augustine Uche, a young talented singer, song writer, producer and younger brother of Tekno Miles. He has worked with likes of Hakeem (Akon’s producer), Vector, Samklef, Youssou N’dour, American RnB group known as The Boyz, J Martins, EL, Stefan King and more.
His new single “Take Am” produced by Adey was premiered and the event wrapped up with a performance from the artist.
