Qtaby Events in conjunction with Jegede Paul Foundation presented “Share Your Closet” charity auction, an event which aimed at raising funds through sales of fairly used good quality items to support widows and people living in the slums.
The first edition of “Share Your Closet” charity auction held at St. Leo Catholic Church, Toyin Street Ikeja and had top personalities such as MC Abbey, N6 and more donating items to the auction. The event kicked off by 2PM and had almost 30 widows present. The anchors for the event were OTB of NaijaFM and Lolo 1 of Wazobia FM.
Jegede Paul Foundation is a nongovernmental organization which focuses on the upliftment of mankind through socioeconomic development and outreach projects to less privileged individuals and communities. Besides Life Fountain Orphanage Home which was established since 2013, we have been known for activities like our annual “Slum Invasion Project” and “Widow Support programs”.
“The vision behind ‘Share Your Closet’ is to encourage members of the society who would love to reach out to these widows, and do not have money or do not know how to reach them. This event gives you an avenue to encourage, give and support the less privileged” – Victoria Nkong .
There were speeches from the Group Managing Director of Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc Mr Paul Jegede, the administrator of the Jegede Paul Foundation, Victoria Nkong and a representative of Gold Crest Family Centre..
10 widows were selected for the empowerment program but all present went home with a package.
