Francophone group, TOOFAN was in Nigeria over the weekend for the Road to MAMAs Lagos Edition in preparation for MTV MAMA 2015 which will hold in South Africa on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Toofan has four nominations in this year’s edition of MAMAs.
The duo are widely known in Africa, Europe and America more in the francophone regions as well as Anglophone regions and have become major players on the African music scene, with chat topping singles on all their albums. They have been nominated for KORA awards, Kundera GOLD, BET awards for BET International Act and more. They won Best Francophone at MTV MAMA 2014.
While in Nigeria, they also signed with a Nigerian management team, Qtaby Events & Management.
They have the highest nominations at the MTV MAMA 2015 in the following categories –
- Best Francophone
- Best Live Act
- Best Collaboration
- Song of the Year
